PHP the scripting language

PHP usually is a server scripting language. It has a lot of powerful tools for making dynamic web pages. It is very easy to learn. PHP is a widely-used, open source scripting language. PHP scripts are executed on the server. Talking about PHP, PHP is an amazing and popular language in the world. It is deep enough to run the largest social network. php file can contain text, html, javascript and php coding. PHP code are executed on the server, and the result is returned to the browser as plain HTML. PHP files have extension ".php".  php runs on a lot of platforms like Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, etc and PHP supports a wide range of databases. php runs efficiently on the server side. A PHP script is completed on the server, and the plain HTML result is sent back to the browser. php script can be placed anywhere in the document. php can create dynamic page content and generate open, read, write, delete, and close files on the server. PHP can collect form data. php can receive cookies and can be used to control user-access.    

Brief history of php:

PHP Created in 1994 by Rasmus Lerdorf.  In early 1995 The first version used and was known as a personal homepage tools.

Today (end-1999) either PHP/FI or PHP3 ships with a number of commercial products such as C2's StrongHold web server and RedHat Linux. lastly in article we can say php is a very good and very popular language in the whole world.

A PHP file normally contains HTML tags, and some PHP scripting code. A comment in php is a line that is not executed as part of the program. Its only benefit is to be read by someone who is looking at the code. comments can be used as a understanding for coding reader or for explanation.            

Php script gets started with <? php  and end with ?>.

Also operators are used in php like Arithmetic operators, Assignment operators etc.

  6. PHP can encrypt data.
